General Questions

Every cleaning company is different. Here's what to expect when you work with us.


  • Do you service my area?

    We service businesses, banks, stores, retail spaces, medical offices, and Airbnb’s in Lancaster, Berks and Lebanon Counties and the surrounding area. Still not sure? Call us with questions about our service area at 717-330-7957.

  • Are you locally owned?

    Yes, we are a husband and wife co-owned business here in Lancaster, Pa. We've lived in Lancaster County since childhood.

  • Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

    Our cleaning technicians are always equipped with the products and tools we need to get the job done. We bring our cleaning supplies, but please let us know if you have any special requests and we would be happy to accommodate you if possible. 

  • Can I request special tasks or extras?

    Sure thing! Simply let us know in advance if you are in need of additional services or want us to pay special attention to certain areas.

  • What products do you use?

    We choose to not use harsh, toxic chemicals, for the safety of our clients and our cleaning technicians. However, we will occasionally use stronger products for tough commercial jobs when necessary.

  • Do you clean medical buildings?

    Yes. We clean medical buildings, retail spaces, grocery stores, auto supply stores, car dealerships, banks, and more! 

  • Will we have the same cleaning team each time?

    For your benefit and ours, it is great to have the same cleaning crew work on the same businesses each week, but we cannot always guarantee the same cleaners. As long as our schedule allows, you can count on the same cleaning crew.


Pricing & Policies

We provide customized pricing using various factors including but not limited to business size, the scope of work, and service interval to determine the most accurate price for your cleaning services.


  • How much do you charge for your cleaning services?

    We provide customized pricing using various factors including but not limited to business size, the scope of work, and service interval to determine the most accurate price.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    If you wish to cancel or reschedule a cleaning service, at least 48 business hours’ notice (excluding weekends) is required. If a cleaning service is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, or if our cleaners are unable to enter your business/Airbnb, a cancellation fee of 50% of that cleaning’s cost will be charged. We appreciate your understanding.

  • What happens if something goes wrong during my service?

    If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it.  That’s our promise to you!

  • What is your 100% satisfaction guarantee policy?

    If you’re not content with your cleaning, we will come out and re-clean (within a 48 hour window) for free. If you still don’t think we did a good enough job to recommend us to your friends or colleagues, we’ll refund your money.

  • Can I trust my cleaning professional?

    All of our employees are interviewed in-person and pass a nationwide detailed background check. Only about 10% of the people that apply end up working as a Burkholder Cleaning Services certified cleaner.

  • Do your cleaning professionals go through a background check?

    Yes they do.  We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our pre-screening process.
